Yeri Anarika was a member of the renowned dance company DorkyPark/Constanza Macras from 2003-2012 in Berlin. Her engagements with choreographers from the Frankfurt Ballet such as J. Godani, R. Poole, and R. Horta and her work as a dancer with Lanonima Imperial in Barcelona and Tannia Prez-Salas in Mexico are also part of her dance experience.
Since 2012 she has taught international workshops in cities in Germany, Mexico, France, Israel, Singapore, and Greece and has been working as a resident choreographer at CEPRODAC (Production Center for Contemporary Dance in Mexico City).
A special focus of her creative work is children and young people in interdisciplinary dance theater and film projects. In 2009 she founded the association UMtanz e.V. (), with which she carries out cultural and political education projects in the Uckermark, Berlin, and Dresden.
In the last 6 years, she has also collaborated in commissions with directors of classical and contemporary opera and theater, like J. Flimm (Staatsoper Berlin), T. Ostermeier (Schaubühne Berlin), S. Holm (Novoflot), C. Hagel, and Ursel Weiler (Ensemble Quillo).
Yeri Anarika studied at the Academia de la Danza Mexicana in Mexico City and at the Centre National de la Danse Contemporaine d'Angers in France. She was born in Mexico City in 1977. She is married to the conductor and pianist Max Renne and has two children Bruno and Marcelo Renne.
